Hello chaps

Right, not been the easiest of births into Range Rover ownership and its not getting any easier....I really need some help. :(

Ok so I've had all the EAS issues, bought kicker...fine....and sync problem...bought Sync mate...fine...

now car is in engine disabled mode and nothing I've tried can get the beastie going again.

Bought new battery y/day, detached the wee blue wire in the boot as I think's what was draining the battery. Went to LR and they gave me the EKA code, tried entering that but to no avail...all I have is a giant blue driveway paperweight.

If it helps the side indicators come on when I turn the key anti clockwise and I can hear a beep but nothing when I turn it clockwise...the dash has a varirty of error messages apart from engine disabled, windows not set, sunroof etc.

Please can some genius's help me, the end of my tether is in sight.

thanks in anticiapation

Rich

right . don,t try to put the code in until the dash message has gone away..
then

turn the key to the rear 4 times to lock

then from vertical to front (unlock) the number of times for the first digit

then lock the number of times for the 2nd

unlock the 3rd

lock the 4th

and finally unlock once

whilst doing this look inside at the side light indication on the dash it should flash each time you turn the key for the code.

if it does not flash the micro switch on the drivers door which generates the pulses could be broken.

When you changed the battery did you also check the condition of the battery cables? Perhaps a bad earth or poor connection.

I wish you luck and hopefully one of the big brains will come along and lend a hand.

ok so the side repeaters only come on when I turn the key anti clockwise each time I enter the code and only once when I turn it clockwise and go past unlock (ie when putting in the clockwise code there is no side indicator) is this the micro switch's and if so what do Ido to get that fixed?

Rick, I think I need to take you up on that offer, behind the fog of electrical befuddlement the car is sound but right now I have no clear path to successful P38 ownership. Do you want drop me a PM about costs and your availability etc...you could well be my saviour!!
