Hello,
My TD5 keeps stalling and then won't start again, will start eventually but will only drive for about 5 mins.
The fuel pump is 2 year's old and middle range from jgs4x4 and very noisy.
I'm currently being recovered back to garage. Does anyone know what the genuine fuel pump make is? Is it Siemens?

Siemens vdo... It sounds like you’re injector seals and washers are in need of replacement

Good afternoon,
New set of seals ordered, unfortunately they are not sealing properly resulting in the cylinder filling with fuel, tried to clean where the injector sits (seat) but no avail.. Do they sell an oversized copper washer to crush down or is it a new cylinder head?

Yea Ive asked them to check that and they say its deffo not cracked 100%..its just the Injector wont sit properly on the aluminium as it's pitted

Are you fitting genuine seals and washers? Be sure to drain the fuel out of each cylinder before fitting

Morning yes Land Rover parts department.
Will make sure he's (The mechanic) has drained the cylinders.
Thanks,
He was saying the seat area had built up lots of burnt fuel and they wasn't seating properly.

Good Afternoon,
By way of an update; they managed to clean the injector tunnel seats and have fitted the new seals/washers, the engine did start and does run (in the workshop) but its very very smokey, would you say this is normal after an injector seal change?

What I'm going to do is show him these posts tomorrow and hopefully this will help him..
Thanks for the information so far..
I'll keep you posted
Cheers
