Got a freelander 2009 td4 auto 2.2 and I'm getting complete power failure. I think the problem is the engine mgmt system rather than mechanical and it only seems to occur after being sat in traffic after a 'decent' run at speed. Dashboard message comes up as 'system failure' and I lose everything, power steering, sat NAV, brakes etc.
Anybody had similar probs. Just had service new filter etc. had good bash to 'clear-out' engine. Using esso diesel.
Anybody got any ideas? Thanks

Well BLASER....forgive me and thanks for the welcome!!!
Somebody suggested this site was very helpful friendly and informative. I have not long had this vehicle, it's the first auto I've ever had, it's the first land rover I've ever had and, more importantly.......I have never, ever posted on a forum in my life!!! So if it's offended and I've 'posted' in the wrong section...then sincerest apologies. SQUIDGY

M8 please don't think I'm being funny this site is one of the best but one of the reasons for no replies is a lot of people come on don't even say hi and want help and after a while the old gents just ignore the posts
The ones that say hi I'm from such a place love land-rover ect will always get help woz only trying to help
