Hia guys and girls I have a 56plate automatic td4 having quite a few problems
First of all eml comes on when under load up hills and when reaching speeds over 55 to 60 miles an hour depending on how high the revs are also comes on when revs go over 2000rpm up hills and over 2500 ramp on a flatter road things I have had replaced so far are
New injectors
New injector seals
Maf sensor
Fuel rail
turbo soiled/sensor
And all other sensor
Also has a egr blank and crank case
breather mod
And help or advise would be realy much appreciated has am at my wits end and realy dont wanna scrap it

The lift pump (in front of offside rear wheel) is the first thing to change, once the low pressure live data confirms the low pressure supply is under 300kpa.

The low pressure pump will be getting changed in morning and cos wer maf sensor boost control
Engine stability control and fuel also fuel rail sensor everything has been changed apart from low pressure pump bit it still runs like a bag of crap realy lumpy and bad vibration but all mounts are fine

Only use a good quality pump, as cheap ones are rubbish.

You really should be using the live data to determine what's up, rather than just throwing parts at it. You could be adding more problems.

An under pressure, low pressure pump or clogged filter will cause the MIL to come on when fuel demand is high. This is caused by the low pressure sensor registering a pressure below a minimum threshold, when the low pressure supply can't keep up with demand. The MIL is illuminated to warn of potential high pressure fuel pump damage.

Update on problems seems to have been the high fuel pressure pump on the engine but now injector 4 keeps leaking even after been replaced with a working one

As the injector been seated right, was a new copper washer use ? have the T joints been checked for cracks also make sure the leak off hose are in good condition,

What do you mean by "leaking"?
Is it leaking diesel or compression? If it's diesel is it from the leak off pipes or somewhere else?
I changing an injector on our TD4 a few days ago, it had similar problems with lumpy idle and sometimes smoking.
I bought one of those cheap kits on ebay that you connect to the leak of pipes on the injectors and it showed that injector 1 was putting about double the fuel into one of the bottles compared with the others. Also my balance numbers in the diagnostics were awful.
So I changed that injector first and it seems quite good now.
Some tips on changing injectors:-
1. Make sure that the old seal comes out.
2. Make sure that where the seal seats in the head that it's clean. I stuffed a bit of rag down there on a long screwdriver and twisted it round. Any grit will stop the new seal seating.
3. Use a new seal.

Injectors sorted now but eml light still comes on under load or when reaching speeds off 55mph with revs at 250rmp only thing that's not been changed yet is low pressure pump in rear wheel arch would this cause the problem

When fuel pumps fail or start to yer normally get loss of pressure of fuel being pumped. Noticeable at higher engine revs or higher speeds, where more fuel is need/used because of required. Can it accelerate 0 to 70mph with ease and cruise at 70mph ok?

If the EML is coming on then the ECU is trying to tell you what's wrong. You really need to get the code read. The TD4 is quite well supported by the tools such as Autel and SnapOn that most backstreet garages have. Getting the code read is going to save you a lot of time and potentially money on parts that you don't need. My recommendation is to go and get the codes cleared, go for a drive until the EML comes on (or just rev it up on the spot if that does it) and then see what codes come back.

If that doesn't get to the bottom of it that we can start to look into live data and data logging etc.

Only code I get back is p1613 but that hasn't come back since having high pressure fuel pump changed only thing I get back now when light comes on is maf sensor, boost control

I haven't experienced it myself on our LR, but reading threads on here seems to suggest that boost control solenoids are a common failure on TD4s. I used to get this on Peugeot HDIs as well, poor performance but no error light and each time a new boost control solenoid would fix it for a few years.

How were the injectors sorted what was wrong ?
