I just took it out and now, it's veering to the left and when I brake more so. I noticed on my drive a small leak of some sorts. Could this be brake fluid??

Brakes shouldn't even need to be touched to change the leg if i recall correctly, one of the air springs i took off had a hole in it and when i squashed it down a squirt of what looked like oil came out but not sure if the dampers are oil or gas filled. They may have damaged a brake line but if it was leaking the pedal would hit the floor and you wouldn't have any brakes.
are you sure it isn't just a normal uneven road as mine will pull to the left on most roads due to the camber or channels worn into the road by lorries.
If the strut replaced isn't the same brand as the one left on the vehicle it could change the height i guess which is why there is an EAS calibration procedure but changing in pairs at least makes them the same both sides. if you have the strut why don't you get them to change it over, they should be able to do it in half an hour.
