none of the lights for the heating dials and center console work.
only passenger window switch lights up.
When i take the handbrake off the stereo + headlights dies then comes back on straight away
when i flash my lights the rev counter and speedo and stereo momentarily die
today whilst indicating the rev counter went up and down in syn to indicators

In your shoes, I'd be popping to see the autoelectrician.

i would but bank account says no auto electrician lol

As u don't have the electrical skills and you can't get an auto electrician to look at it for you then you DO have problem i'm sorry to say..

Dicky earth somewhere or maybes a blown blub...

I have similar on mine - clock resets every start, stereo doesn't work and neither do the interior festoon lights.

Yet when he's running - the front festoon will work, until you turn the rear one on then it goes out - so my guess is a dicky blub or rather in my case LED 'panel'.

I'm betting all will be well in the world when I change the bugger - in fact I'll go and whip it out now!

Is this question about your 1999 p38 dse and you've put it in the 'Disco' section by mistake or is this about a Disco and I've got it wrong again ?

Either way please check all your main earth leads and your lighting switch, also the handbrake lever maybe starting to chafe the wiring under the console...

If it helps, your heater dials is probably a bulb gone.

No its about my 96 300tdi disco
