So, on several Landrover forums I go on, the passenger mirror tilt issue is common . Drivers side tends to always work, passenger side seems to pack up (sometimes it tilts but does not return).

Occasionally some tilt the wrong way.

Every time this issue is raised, the usual crowd of people come on and say

"switch it off" "reset it" blah blah blah, but no one has solved it. Has to be a common fault coz they all seem to fail.

So I want to get my avometer out and try once and for all to solve this problem.

Few questions may help me,

- I know the mirror tilt stores in the seat memory. Where does it draw it's power BECM or the Door outstation?
- My mirror stopped tilting when Hawkeye flagged up a communication error to the passenger seat. Now that is weird coz, although the passenger seat is electric, because it does not have a memory on that side, there is no seat outstation. So where is the serial lead in the BECm (present), which according to RAVE, goes to passenger seat outstation, actually going? . I am sure the communication failure to the passenger side may be connected. Any views?
- I have taken the mirror apart, motors, white tracks, end stops and the circuit board which looks good. Don't think the fault lays here.

Any useful tips, thinks to check, let me know. Want to finally solve this issue.
