Had my series 2 lwb for 10 months now without problems. I came to it yesterday and the low oil pressure and the alternator light came on but no starter motor, interior lights, spotlight, fuel gauge, indicators etc. After checking the fuse i noticed it was a little corroded and a quick clean up brought everything back on again.

Everything it seems with the exception of the interior lights and the rear spotlight, both switches are illuminated when on so I dont think its a case of blown bulbs etc.

Has anybody got any thoughts on what the problem could be?

I ve also got a problem with the alternator light always being on and getting brighter the higher the revs are. The belt isn't slipping and having checked with a volt meter the battery is charging nicely, any thoughts on this one?

Cheers guys

Check the bulbs in the lights?

When you say the battery is charging nicely, how nicely are we talking? It should be capping at 14-15v. If the regulator is gone, that would explain the light getting brighter and brighter.

There must be a fault of some kind, else the charge light would extinguish.
