Took my Disco to my local mechanic to have the "kick down" cable replaced...here's the wierd part, now (since the cable has been replaced), the vehicle will only "go" when it is in 4WD...the 2WD/AWD is non-functioning...when up on the hoist the front axle will engage but the rear axle isn't following suit (when in regular drive)...any ideas? I'm not looking foreward to driving 2 1/2 hours away to a dealership...full-time job and 3 small children...does anyone have any advice? Be nice.
