Electrical Fault

can anybobdy help me with this electrical problem with my 99 2.0di freelander. my reverse and break light 15 amp fuse keeps blowing every time i drive , the fuse does not blow when my engines ticking over but seems to blow only when i am driving almost instantly , can anybody please help me with this problem!!! or has anybody else had a similar problem with theres?

Does it blow even if you don't touch the brake (possibly put in reverse) or is it after you hit the brakes ? There must be a short circuit somewhere and guess it's most probably in the brakesline. Did you try to put contact on with engine not running and hit the brakes (select reverse) than ??
Is the contact/sensor at the brakepedal ok ??

Hi all my lights , brake , reverse and side lights are operating normal when my motor is stationary ive tried my brake lights while not moving and these are fine the fuse only seems to be blowing when i am driving. it is possible that it could be the brakelines as i only know the fuse has blown by braking to test to see if the problem still exists.:confused. i will try other remedys in more daylight tomorrow thanks . kev

If it only blows when moving it most probably is due to a cable somewhere of which the insultation is gone due to the rubbing of it against the body, when at halt possibly the cable is not touching the body but once you are moving it touches the body every now and then causing the fuse to blow. Pretty hard to find I'm afraid, as I am no technician nor electrician at all, just thinking over this what could cause the problem, in other words the above might be a loadful of nonsens as well. If it is, sorry for that but was only trying to be helpful. (Not much of reply otherwise, sorry for that).

Other idea that came to my mind, when the engine is running but the car is at halt, when you hit the brakes do all brakelights light up ? (if not it is possible one of the leads fell off the socket and when driving and braking it could touch the body?)
