Hi Everyone, Can anybody tell me what this connector is for . It's on a year 2000,1.8l freelander. I've searched the rave file and can't find it and there isn't anything to connect it to in its vacinity,although it must have to connect to something.There's nothing on the air intake either and it's not any of the following;
Throttle Position Sensor
Idle Air Control Valve
Oxygen Sensor
Intake Air Temp Sensor
Also i dont know whether its related or not but there also isn't any connector on the engine harness for the the top wiring plug as shown on the photo.Now looking in the rave files i photo shows a top connector and i photo shows without (why theres obviously a reason).
All help will de appreciated

most probably a diagnostic plug or a connector to a piece o kit that aint fitted to your model. most cars use a generic loom and just leave disconnected all the plugs that arn't needed

Have you looked at a wiring diagram for the colour group of wires? That second pic looks like the plug I swapped out and put my tuning module between ECU and MAF

If i only knew what you meant i could answer you."The tuning module between ECU AND MAF"

I assume MAF means mass airflow which the airbox doesn't have and its an ECM on this model but you have me intrigued with your comment.
It just seems unusual to have a connector that isn't required, i know that generic looms are manufactured but like i said initially theres nowhere for it to fit unless of course something is missing.
Basically i'm trying to elimanate all items at the moment
