hi all sorry ive not posted for a while been a chaotic year but im wondering if anyone can help me ive got a 1990 rr classic which has been off the road for just over a month its got an electronic speedo and when I went to it last the battery was flat and the speedo needle was sat all the way round past the 130 mph marker so I started it up and moved the car but the speedo remained where it was but I also got mice in it while it was sat any help would be much appreciated

Get a cat, lock it in the car. photograph the speedo as that will be the fastest its ever been

Buy a cheap Sanei N79 tablet, download an app such as DigiHud and you have a speedometer.
ebay, new/2nd hand speedo about £20..speedo takes square wave pulse from a "relay" its just a pulse shaper,shaper takes input from do da on end of speedo cable...feck all to go wrong really..
unplug "relay" its on drivers side under side kick panel.if still reading 130 then speedo fecked...you could try dismantling speedo,but for £20 i wouldnt bother..pull "relay" first..
re mice..oh dear....be prepared for electric doommmm...wht else they fecked/
