Twin battery set up with winch fridge etc . I run this set up myself, for donkeys years,
1. Joint the two batts pos to pos with a h/d abttery switch eg hella, with the big red key. This will enable you to connect both batteries when winching, and allow max current from alt to both batteries.
2. Connect anderson to second battery again via h/d battery switch , so that you can turn off inside cab as with the sort of people about these days you dont really want a live available outside vehicle JMHO
Why have you got anderson connectors , is it a demountable winch?
3. connect distribution point to second battery (i.e your eightway fuse box. ) Connect all accesories that you dont only use when moblie eg fridge, rear floodlighting ice. inverter etc.
4. I use 12v socket for fridge , keep cable as large as possible, and as short as possible , to prevent voltage drop, and maintain voltage as high as poss.
5 . I dont use split charge set up as I just switch on second battery to main battery connection as part of start up procedure . KISS
HTSH :)

It gets fookin worse!
After 2 trips to Tamar 4x4, they've got the wrong fookin ones - fer a 110, which are bigger.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!

ai, on the rear you see. Now i was thinking of your maths earlier and i have a 300w inverter. but i imagine this may peak at a higher rate. now the cable it comes with has croc clips and a 30a inline fuse. do you think its safe to just remove the croc clips, use ring terms and hard wire it in? will run the inline as close to batt as possible ofcourse.

Just a thought.

yup
hardwiring will be better than croc clips - coz less chance of a high restance connection.

Right folks,

Ive managed to jam 2 batteries, a split charge system and a compressor into my battery box :D

now i am trying to wire up the 8way fuse box mentioned previously. I was/am going to use the excess wire off the compressor. now, its pretty thick (not alternator thick) and had a 30amp inline fuse, so im guessing its rated pretty high?

anyway, its that duel core stuff so ive cut 2 lengths the same and put ring terminals at one end and im going to put spades at the other. now my question is can i split the strands for 2 spades each?

that way 2 duelcore wires will give me enough for the 8way fusebox.

or am i asking for a fire? there doesnt seem to be any boxes that split a single wire any more than 2 ways. i need to get this 8way fusebox fitted somehow.

do my wiring suggestions seem upto it?

bit late - but maybe you should have considered this.....
