Hi every one this is my fist question on here so bare with me
Tried to open the car this morning no joy interior lights and alarm led working
Doors stayed locked opened drivers door with key
The switch on the dash doesn't work or the elec. windows or the indicators
Started the engine no problem but there is a flashing symbol on the trip/milage
LCD that looks like a letter B with a line through it
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks old fart:confused:

Hi srtgray
Took the dog out and every thing worked for a bit got home and had to clime in to the back to let him out all fuses are ok where in the car is the bcu hidden we had a lot of rain so I think it's probably drown

Thank sierrafery
That's a lot of info to go through think I'll start with the fuse box first theres some rust marks on the steel just below it
I'll let you know how I get on

Yes, if you see signs of water ingress unplug the fusebox and analise the pins, give them contact spray but after you plug it back put ignition on pos II and leave it so 5 minutes, maybe you are lucky to be within the 9% percentage of IDM failure

Update after reading the info sierrafery put me on to it was getting dark so decided to leave well alone until the weekend my son suggested using the wife's hair dryer around the fusebox 20 mins on full heat left to stand for an hour As if by magic every thing is back to normal no probs for the last 2 days
Not a cure all but worth a go before you start to rip your baby to bits
So I'll be on the hunt for the leak at the weekend
I know it's not the sun roofs as I've had them both out and resealed them new rubbers as well
Thanks again for your help. Mup/the old fart
