Egr removal

i am thinking of removing my egr valve and its bits of pipe work but on my disco 2003 face lift model I have a pipe from my header tank water to my egr system front of engine near rad do I just seal this up at the tank end all the rest I understand just this one pipe confusing me as to what it does thanks for all replies Andy (grump52b)

Would that be to the EGR cooler?

Have you read these? May help you understand it.

id just blank the manifold and leave the rest in place[/QUOTE]

You'll have to blank the port at the tank and the one at the oil cooler which comes to the bottom then you can remove that EGR cooler completely which will save you from a possible leak point, also blank the T piece where the vacuum comes to the modulator and remove that too just tie the electric connectors as to not touch earth ... there is ignition switched live in those plugs if you need it for some relay's coil
