Hiya All,
For a while now, i have believed that my TD4s MAF was knackered. The usual symptom of getting scared at roundabout. Give it some throttle and nothing happens until the turbo spools up.
On the off chance, i pulled the little vacuum tube off of the EGR actuator. Now the problem has gone away and I have noticed an improvement in MPGs.
So, I ask what is the issue here? obviously without the vacuum control, the EGR is staying closed, and must be opening to cause the issue.
What does the ECU use to open the EGR? does it go on the inlet pressure sensor?
Thanks
David
