Eek!! Front doors wont lock/open ??

Erm,

Has anyone come accross this one?

Everything is openining and closing off the key fob as it should but for some wierd reason both front doors do not react to the fob:doh:

So every time I 'lock' the car I have to lock it normaly using the fob & remember to physically lock both front doors

Seems very odd to me, has anyone come accross this before please?

yeah its common for the door locks to pack up. do a search. re sync the key, re enter eka and if they fail strip the locks down and clean em out. ive posted many times on this subject!!!

Looks like a squirt of majic WD40 in the doors might be required then.

use gt85 as wd40 will dry them out too much.

duck oil will suffice.Its the microswitch that seizes up.

this problem was not fixed after following the above advice (i know it was sone time ago!)

Anyway, Ihave read 'somewhere' that it is usualy a dry joint or soldering issue on the BECCM

If anyone has manaed to cure this Fob locking issue by repairing the board - does anyone have any pictures of the offending breakage please - and maybe some guidance / dummies how to please.
