They want last owner to email them to transfer lifetime warranty for an ABS Module to me as new owner.
All I know is his name is John Briggs, lived in Brentford. Anyone know him or are you out there John..

Can you prove proof you bought the vehicle with a pic of it including the reg plate. If necessary a pic of the serial number of the abs unit anorl. Also a section of the v5 showing you own it.

can do all that but they want whoever bought the part to give them permission to transfer the warranty to me, thanks for replying, dont think i'll get anywhere with it but a lesson learned, keep any warranty for parts with the V5 so they can be passed on when its sold................

Do they have the owners address or phone number in their records. Could they contact the owner themselves to ask the question.

Wouldn't it be great if they were that interested. They are happier for me to pay for a new/reconditioned part. Thanks for being interested enough yourself, to try and help. Biting the bullet and getting it back on the road soon as I can. Cheers

I'd be very surprised is an ABS module had a lifetime warranty. LR give a 2 year warranty for all parts, but I'm not sure it transfers over to a new owner, at least without the purchase receipt it won't.

If this is the firm 'ECU Testing' they do offer a lifetime warranty on their repairs. They even honour it too, most surprisingly. I had an ECU repaired by them in 2016 which malfunctioned again a few months ago, and they not only looked at it again but refunded me the price of the original repair when they couldn't do anything with it. As I recall, they didn't ask for anything like the vehicle registration or VIN when I first sent them the unit, just the make and model, so vehicle details may not help them very much.
