Can anyone help with the correct Engine ECU part number for my 1986 efi 3.5 automatic UK spec Vogue with Air Conditioning (now removed). My LR parts book states PRC 7440 but it is fitted with a PRC 4764, which I beleive is the original. I need to locate a replacement as I have fried the EFi system.

Many thanks

So am fairy sure it makes no difference to the fuel map which ECU you use, I have several flapper ECUs and all have run well on my 3.5.
If you want one pm me otherwise there is a company on the isle of eight who will return.

Mine also, PRC7440 up to the GA vin which is after my time with a RRc, but wasn't GA the start of the 3.9s 1990MY

And PRC4764 is not listed at all in my 1986 RR parts catalogue.

And beware with 'some' of part numbers in the link above, they are market specific therefore as u can see not the UK market, found this out with comparing the disco parts with my disco UK parts catalogue.

I found out yesterday that according to a Rover/Land Rover parts manager with 40+ years experience, after he called JLR, that PRC 4764 was superceded by PRC 7440. Hope this helps someone in the future.
