Looks an interesting day out.
Police firearms officers..?
Bobble-hatters are often grumpy, don't know why all that fresh air and lovely scenery, need to get out more....
Shame about the fan but I still think viscous is best. I have an electric fan on mine (PO) and when I can source a viscous unit, fan and shroud the leccy's in the bin. Not meaning to revive the argument for/against either, just in my experience I prefer the viscous.
Anyway, here's to next time......

yep agreed, i am going to bin off the leccy soon as.
Firearms officers were parked at the top of a lane, we had to squeeze by, i stopped to ask what the orange stars were on the bumper - they replied firearms, i thanked them for stepping up for what must be a thankless job - shoot someone and you could go to jail - then went on our way, they were pretty jovial chaps. Should have asked them to go down the lane with us.....

Bun fight.....................

Viscous Vs Electric

Seems it is personal preference, nothing more, I've not run a fan, neither electric not viscous for about 4yrs, no harm done what so ever.

Anyways.............

Back on track.

Mrs. Dieseldog already bailed, she likes to go laning but that was a bit too close with the telegraph pole and the angles were pretty extreme too

But me dog came an sat on me lap to keep me calm & balanced lol

OK, if it was the dog using the handheld device to film the events...LOL. Afterall you are on a public byway.:p:p Although not sure what the law is regarding using a camcorder?? obviously using a phone to film it whilst driving would be a no no....:D, I have always found the camera footage from my go pro never does it justice for the angles involved.

Cheers

I did email GoPro and suggest an in screen inclinomometererer thing for static mounted cams that could show the gradients as a plane from vertical & horizontal but they said it would require the user to do a lot of setting up to achieve and wasn't in the nature of the "action cam" market.

But I suppose you could get the dash mounted things and frame them in an in-cab shot?

It would appear that lane that defeated up doesn't have a name, it's a BOAT that links Cottage Lane to the open section of Old Litten Lane. It climbs up Wheatham Hill. I've added usage on Trailwise with a recommendation to go down hill, feel free do do the same, I'll add usage for all the lanes we did yesterday in my lunch break. Videos and photos look great btw, I'm afraid I have none to add this time, Mike isn't as keen as taking pictures as Sam!
Can't wait for the next outing!
