Yeah I'd included you in my 8 vehicles, tbh they didn't seem that worried about numbers at that time of day, I suspect we might not be a big group by their standards!

Google search Rykas cafe meetup and it seems common to have groups of 30+ meeting there, classic cars & bikers etc, all seem to make a bee line there, mmmm, sausage egg bacon mushrooms & hash browns, bloody hell I'm getting hungry just thinking about a good breakfast now lol

As it happens I'm just about to have a full English now! You can keep the mushrooms though!
Did you find a menu? I looked but couldn't see one.

Do we know which lanes we might do ?
Does Surrey council have up to date TRO lists ?
So looking forward to it now, haven't been laning for a while and will be great to be in a bit of a convoy especially with a Full English to start the day :)

I was looking at Hogden Lane, Wolvens Lane, crockers Lane, green lane, Sheepwalk lane to start, all open, have checked Surrey CC list and trailwise, drove them all end of Nov. Will check trailwise for the other lanes I have in mind for later in the day when I get a moment but I'm fairly sure they're ok.

OK I've just checked the other lanes I have in mind, and they all seem to be free of TROs etc- looking at A couple of lanes around Frensham ponds and then a couple above the Hindhead tunnel. Depending on time I might return home via Chichester and the A27 as there are about 3 lanes there I've wanted to check out in a while- anyone who wants to join me is of course more than welcome!

The 27 works for me as I live on Hayling Island. :D:cool:

So you know chaps - I'm an off road virgin (cue barrage of comments !) so go easy on me....this really will be my very first time off road if I'm in the Defender !

No shame in that mate, green lanes are a good way to get into it as the terrain is fairly gentle unless you do lanes like Strata Florida in Wales, the rocks will smash your fillings out as you bounce your chassis and gearboxes off them.

I'm planning to hit a few pay an play days this year if you wanna go to one?

If they're for absolute novices I may have a go :) all the ones I see online appear to be for guys who are big time into offloading with purpose built trucks. That's a tad above my abilities....!

You'll be ok Si, it won't hurt promise!
I've done a few of the lanes around Handheld ??? Hindhead (flipping autopiler! autospeller) and the Devil's Punchbowl; not too demanding (I'm not an of-road virgin but I tend to drive like one!).
Pics below are from the area a fews years back....
