At a glance John that looks interesting. Have stuck it in my favorites will have a proper read through it later. :):):)

Would it not be quicker just to pull the eas timer delay relay?
Does it not also induce faults in the ecu?

Have any of you suffering from EAS "Wake up" seen this ????Range Rover P38 Maintenance repair improvements and tips learned by experience by ownership.

Seems a pointless mod to me. Mine is virtually inaudible when self leveling and I can leave it for 2 to 3 weeks without battery problems. Does it actually wake up the BECM when it self levels with the ignition off? I can see no evidence that this is so?
I reckon he would do better to fit a new RF receiver and battery myself as the car could sag dangerously on one corner with the leveling disabled.

How do you make that out?

Can't be any different than if you had a slow puncure in one wheel, it'd look odd for sure but dangerous? Only to ones pride in ones motor:p

Also I can't see how it can self level without waking the BECM. The delay timer has cut power to the ecu so that has to be re-energised for the self leveling to work. I'm assuming (despite assumption being the mother of all F**k ups:D) the delay timer is powered from the BECM.

As far as I can see, the EAS is virtually a stand alone system but I would need to look in more detail to be certain.
As for being dangerous, only in the sense that you would have to wait for a sagging corner to come up before driving off which could be quite a long time on an old leaky system.
Better to fix the problems than apply dubious mods.
