Hi, Can someone recommend a garage or competent mechanic to sort out my EAS problems, probably a seal change on valve block, compressor overhaul and maybe air bag renewal......basically needs a good kicking. IN the North Devon (Bideford area).:(
Thanks.......and hi from a newbie!

PS When its sorted its for sale......67000mile P reg, pretty much showroom, good service history, have owned since 2005. V8 and LPG all in order except EAS.

So you join for one post then leave.......

Leave the valve block alone
Get a compressor overhaul kit from wherever, not a Dutch one
Get four air bags and clips
Spend one day, probably less, with the tool kit
Hey presto, Rangie sorted.
cost - about £200

Hi Juicy V8, selling because we have sold the good wife's horse, no need now for towing vehicle. As much as I love the driving experience I really need something a bit more pound friendly!!
Thanks for reply Dogsbody, but really need a volunteer to oversee my mechanical ineptitude......(would pay the going rate).
Again anyone in North Devon...Cornwall even

Audi quattro A6.

still need 4wheel drive for winter in devon;)

Hi all you knowledgeable folk, i've had a bit of a play this morning and found car is level overnight, switch on ignition and standard level light is lit and steady, compressor cuts in and runs for 7 or 8 mins and every minute or so after.
Would I be right in suspecting line from valve block to air receiver that runs down passenger side accross the back and into air receiver?
Car may be 13years old but air bags show ok with soapy water
Will look at again when I can use garage lift....too old to crawl underneath
Still looking for someone in North Devon to do a proper job on it for me!!!!:D

Yes you would. Sounds like you have a storage side leak. Check pipe and connections from block (coded violet) back to air reciever. Take out exhaust filter and feel if there is any air coming out when compressor is stopped. If pipe and connections are sound and there is you may need to replce O'ring on NRV1 or the diaphragm solenoid valve body or it's feed maybe leaking, the valve nearest to engine bulkhead on block. That is fed by the small 4mm pipe going into block check that and it's connections for leaks also.

:D Thanks Wammers, will follow them ideas, into garage for look around underneath (on lift) on Wednesday and I'll pass on your ideas to my mechanic friend.

Thanks for replying, mucho gratias !!!
