Can anyone suggest a decent conversion kit for ridding the pesky EAS from my P38 please? I know brookwell do one [www.brookwell.co.uk] with the override module included, are these any good?

Also, can anyone suggest a specialist company in Hampshire/Surrey/Berkshire [UK] who are capable of fitting these?

Thankyou guys! :D

P.S I've tried the search function to look through here, but VB never seems to work well for me

Why not do them yourself, it's an easy job, afraid I can't offer advice on makes as mine is on air :)

Conversion now done.

The car drives BETTER than it did with the EAS on. It jumps around less and copes better with the ruts that occur on some of our motorways.

It took 4 hours, was a piece of **** and has now made me a car I don't mind keeping for a bit and will never have to spend £Xs trying to find suspension faults and then fix them!

My EAS seems to be behaving at the moment but the coil conversion seemed an attractive option when it was playing up and if it did again I'd probably either torch the whole car or go for coil springs.

So you fitted it yourself in the end? What did it cost for the kit? How high does the car ride now? Is the EAS ECU now fooled into thinking it is permanently at normal height?

Hi guys,

I got THIS kit from Brookwells. It was £350 + VAT. The quality of machining on the parts is second to none.

It took about 4 hours to fit, on a ramp. The instructions are brilliant and anyone with half a brain [like me LOL] could do it easily.

The ride height is just slightly higher than normal ride height. We've had loads of P38s and Discos on Air [we're a family car sales, but I've kept this one] and this honestly drives better overall ESPECIALLY on the motorway where there's no jerking or tramlining.

The kit comes with an override module which cancels out all the EAS commands. The switch on the dash is also removed - the fascia part remains, just the actual switch behind the dash goes. It now tells you "EAS Manually Overriden" [or something like that] on ignition, with an audible beep.
