hi an merry chrisms

I have a odd problem with my eas switch in the dash..

when I change right height the car dos it as it shout but the light doesn't change..

any idea's ?
I am thinking faulty switch

If you can crack the switch open could be a cracked solder joint?
Weird that it functions but no light change... Argh it's a P38 hissing fit...

Just a thought... Have you checked the harness plug behind the passenger kick panel under the dash?
I wonder if it could be a communication issue caused by the plugs corroding due to a leak from the pollen filter housing directly above!
Getting complicated now....

No that I haven't check .
That I will do leader today ☺️
Is it on to right hand site ore the left

No L/H side at base of A post behind trim. Do NOT play with height switch it is full of electronics and seriously expensive to replace with a new one. If that is duff second hand is the only real option.

Not by me it isn't. Early one to 1999 AMR3713 superseded by AMR5823 is £365.69. Later one 1999 and on YUF101930 is £394.34. So i think there maybe more than a momentary switch and a few bulbs in it. And a good morning to you my friend. ;)

Holy pot of gold batman!!!
I take it the switch being the command and the lights indicate a return signal from the height sensors or suspension ECU?

They give a solid at lamp and a flashing going to lamp. That must be signalled by the ECU and switched by it. As there is only the ECU that knows when a selected height has been achieved. So the interface selector switch to ECU is a good shout and that is the plug at base of L/H A post.
