Have a look in the boot as well, either side you can pull the trim panels out and check for water ingress. Theres a lot of electric kit there
You don't need to strip to that extent, I was fitting a towbar. Just find the handles either side and pull out towards you, the panel comes away. You can also take off and pull out the little bottom storage bins once side panels are off

Blocked scuttle drains, sunroof drains, tailgate drains, bad windscreen seal you name it...
I checked the right compartment and it was a little bit wet, I have disconnected the tow bar electrics, and called it a night. Maybe the previous owner didn’t seal with tow bar up

BCU location
I am trying to find the location of the BCU unit on a 2004 Range rover L322. In the maintenance manual it tells me that it is under the driver side seat, but it is not. The previous owner of the vehicle did a lot of additions to the electrics with no indication as to what was added or related...

Have a Google 'l322 water ingress'. Loads of info on how to check all the seals/drains etc

I'd say more likely the LCM behind the drivers side right hand footwell panel.
