Has anyone come up with a solution to re-tipping the rubbers on the EAS solenoid valves, the small ones that seat on the conical orifice in the valve?
mine have deep rings in them and I think they are leaking

Hi Kurt, I am not sure but I think it was you that I got the new NRV’s from? Do you do the tips for the solenoid ends? Seems daft to have to spend huge money on new solenoid units just for the tip!
Hi
You cannot buy the stems on their own as far as i know.
Usually the ones that are worn are the 4off x 2.0mm bases and the 1off 2.5mm solenoid base.
I have done some repairs on them in the past but now due to the fact the spares are becoming obsolete I keep them to build complete reconditioned valve blocks. You could always try and buy a valve block off eBay and hope the solenoids are in better condition than the ones you have.
I only real sell the complete valve blocks now. The ones i do are basically like new ones when reconditioned
Thanks
Kurt

I got a reply from Dunlop back in March that they can supply NRV but they want minimum order of 50 so didn't pursue it.
Maybe they can also do the solenoid plungers ?

I bought a 1m length of 5mm Viton "O" Ring cord, removed the old rubber (which was as hard as rock) glued and trimmed and hey presto, perfect tips once again. the solenoid unit etc was in good nick so it would have been an absolute waste of my P38 relief fund to have coughed up.
Someone on the P38 Facebook site has also done the same thing.
With the old rubber tips being hard I can see why there was a valve leak, I think the Viton will be a good replacement......

I have told people to do this before but unfortunately it fell on deaf ears so i now let the blind lead the way lol.
Well done
Kurt
