Hi,
Can anyone please help!!! i have a x reg p38 2.5 DSE, my EAS hates me.
First my front left air bag went pop so i changed all for and every thing was good for a week then EAS bleep bleep bump stops.
Took the lap top out cleared everything all fine.
Then it happened again, so i changed valve block, compressor, relay in fuse box both fuses, timer relay and the ECU, taken white connectors apart and cleaned, and the two earth points still the same nothing had changed so out with the laptop read faults and the list was end less and wont clear.
This is the bit im most lost with, door closed nothing door open compressor runs nothing happens and when i turn it off lots of dumped air.
Many thanks in advance for any help.
Jez

Blimey, apart from the driver pack, height sensors and air lines there is almost nothing else left to replace. Were all the replacement parts new?

I assume you had the battery disconnected to swap over the ECU?

Not familiar with laptop software but think Saint is right. That many faults cannot be real after all you've done.

Swapping things willy nilly is dangerous as you my introduce new faults if the stuff was secondhand.
An endless list of faults if you are using the free EAS suit is, as others have said, a sure sign that you have no communication with the EAS ECU. If it is the free EAS software, you must get the green "Good Idle" button and the message centre should beep and redisplay the "Slow 35mph max" message. The most common causes of comms problems are USB to serial adaptors and corroded OBD connectors.

Go to my "How to" and go through the checks. Make sure the compressor is making good air and that it is staying in the tank. (NRV 1 is sealing). That is the first job. If you have no pressure you cannot hope to sort anything else out. It is normal for air to be evacuated after compressor stops, as with the compressor not running the fill gallery becomes the vent gallery. Hence when the compressor is running height changes of a downwards nature cannot take place. The suspension can only rise. If the list contains contradictory faults (same valve open and closed) then you have bad comms with the ECU. When you changed the valve block did you service the new one or just slap in what to believed to be a good one? It is exceedingly rare for the valve block body itself to wear other than the NRV seats maybe rarely wearing oval. Most of the time all they need is new seals. Changing that much stuff all at once is fatal as any one of the replaced components could have faults. Specially if they are not new. Start at the beginning and work through in a logical manner.

Hi,
Yes im using RWS software i have two of each cables and the CD, i tried with all different cables and the only comms point that will work is 3.
The ECU was second hand and the valve block, and compressor.
IT was all working for two weeks then went wrong last week, so i got the bits and re-built my valve block, and i know the compressor works, the green idle is interment and still getting a list of faults like war and peace.
I started from the first through to the last as you all suggested in your post,s but still the same, what am i doing wrong !!!!!!!!
Many Thanks
Jez

Which version of Windows are you using?
Are you using a USB to serial adaptor? If so, did you load the correct driver before you plugged it into the computer?
You still have bad comms, I suspect you have a USB driver problem.
Compressor may work, but is it making enough pressure? Have you done the test in Wammers guide?
