hi peeps, have problem with eas, very slow to lift first time of starting, pump problem? Dash light illuminates only when driving (yellow with circular arrow). It has had 4 new height sensors fitted, old ones had 5 wires, new ones only 3.Her indoors was told they were interchangeable, are they? Its shod with 19" wheels and when they recalibrated the height sensors they said it should be on 17" wheels and would recalibrate accordingly. Its very slow between height changes (pump problem ?) and when in access height the distance between arch and tyre is 8 cm.On the old P38 it sits a lot lower, have they f##ked up the calibration or are the sensors not compatable.thank you in advance, regards Alan. ps, see what happens when you go away:mad:

if you lower it and then try to raise it again "straight" away when you next get in your car, it can sometimes take a little longer especially at the front because you have just depleted it full of air when you lowered it and so it needs a few seconds or a minute to fill back up.

To rule this out, next time you get back in your car after lowering it....turn it on and let it idle for 1 minute before you try to raise it to normal driving height.

If it is still slow then you have a problem. But it's best to rule out the possibilty that your just trying to raise it too soon after lowering it.

thanks for the reply.its very slow from the start,i think its the pump.not used to this system,im ok with p38 after the troubles i had with the one i run.its the dash light and the height sensors that are my main concern, and wether its been caliberated correctly. All the ride levels seem to me to be set to high, but i dont know what heigths they should be.Ill try what you sugges.regards

If the original sensors had 5 wires, there must be a reason for that, LR are not known for spending a penny more than they can get away with. Sounds like a bodge to me:eek:

Ok have had a look at my Rave. Don't know a lot about these but. Three wire is standard usage. Six wires are used if vehicle has Xenon lamps fitted. They connect to self levelling ECU. So three wire ok as long as you don't have Xenon lamps. Maybe a compressor/storage problem i would think reference the slow rise. Maybe a leaking storage tank or line. If you are losing pressure overnight it will take time for compressor to fill tank enough to lift car. That maybe the favourite.

thanks wammers, carnt access my rave download for some reason.I was thinking the same but why does the light come on only when driving and what is it?

Don't know mate, will have a trawl through later on if i get chance. Got serious strimming to do today before the triffids take over completely.

The comp will be shot, cant think why LR chose to locate it in the swimming pool area of the car.....
Also rip out the headlight levelling ecu and have the car reconfigured to not look for it - they dont work properly anyway, and its the normal place for water to dribble down the A pillar, get into that ecu and drag the K bus down. Then Testbook,(Or any other diagnostic tool ) wont talk to the car.
Another quality car from LR :D

out this morning, car low.start up access light lit compressor not running.use switch to ride height, compressor runs, lifts car to normal hide height then runs for a further 30 secs before switching off.have left car with door open to see if i have an airspring leak.It does have xeon lights

Sorry mate but i didn't understand any of that??

You didn't say if it leaked or not when you left the doors open over night? And by the sounds of it, it is working as it should be??

Just an update, the latest forth generation compressor fitted and seems to have cured all problems. The forth generation has a thermal switch that operates at a higher temperature, hope the seal is man enough for the job
