Can someone who knows help me with a few queries?

What will the EAS system do under the following situations:

1. P38 parked on a slope facing straight down or up.
2. P38 parked parallel across the slope (either way round)
3. P38 parked with 2 wheels on the level, and 2 on the slope (over the edge)
4. P38 parked with 1 wheel on a stone or something, so it's higher than the rest.

Engine off, into park and left for a day - what happens?
(I bring this up as I need to decide where to leave the car when I go boating)

Thanks.

The system will level itself according to the distance between the suspension arms and the chassis, since this is what the height sensors measure. The slope you park it on is irrelevant.

Depends on how airtight your system is. If one corner leaks and drops, the EAS will lower all the others to maintain level (note - level according to the height sensors, not according to the 'horizon' - the surface you park on is irrelevant).

As Clarky said, if the system is airtight, park it where you like and it will stay up unless there is a dodgy height sensor which may cause it to level down. Mine is always parked nose/nearside down with the offside rear up on a bump. It drops less than 1cm in a week.

Makes sense. So when I've read about people parking them with one wheel on a paving slab or something, and it's drained the battery, is that due to weak air bags rather than an inherently dim ECU?

hi tcubed , it shoudn't make your battery drain cos compressor wont run without ignition on .!! im not that well up on eas but datatek will put you right on the system ,,,,, not heard back from you over lockout etc engine disabled , did you get my e-mail and have you sorted it ????????? let me know ,,,cheers MOZZ :):):)

Park it where you like, the EAS will not flatten the battery unless as Wammers said the delay timer relay is duff. Not very common.
