Has any one experienced their EAS system letting out air in short farty bursts, a bit like the sound of air brakes, when driving normally?

do you have a nanocom or similar? get a friend to watch the valve states while you drive?
the only noises I hear are click click click from the solenoids and a pfft pfft from the exhaust

Well, the symptoms i described were the predecessor to a eas failure. Now down on the bump stops, pump runs and generates pressure but you can hear the pressurised air escaping loudly and the pressure is not getting to the air bags.

Ours adjusts à little on the bumpy road but will settle at motorway speeds. It does sound like the exhaust filter has popped off or opened. It can also do this if there is a conflict between height sensors and the ecus programmed heights. As said also a leak will cause the car to adjust to maintain its programmed heights.

If you take the exhaust filter off then it sounds like a truck as it vents but it doesn't normally do that going along. Is the pressure switch in the valve block doing its job? Or is the compressor running all the time causing it to vent?

This would be one of the four valves on top of the valve block or is there another valve I need to check? How would you recommend I check for this fault?
The diaphragm valve is internal to the block. At one end of the block there is a separate bit held by 4 screws. Take that off and you will see the valve a round disc. Pull it out and you may well find that it has split.

Can you do that with the block insitu keith? Just curious.
