i have owned my P38 for 3 years BUT never knew i could select the motorway/cruising height at will! when stationary or at any speed i have full control of over the selection of standard or motorway height, its wonderful to use it in this height for country lanes, what with my 60mm wider track and Koni's the 2" drop makes it absolutely amazing to drive.

3 years and i only just found out!!!!!

does anyone else know about this as i have never heard it mentioned once on any forum ever!

Maybe he had never pressed the height inhibit button and THEN selected the lower height?? Did you never play with the system when you first got it to see what it could do??

-Wills :)

no! i just assumed the motorway height was computer selected, and when i locked it into height by pressing the button next to selector switch i never played with it!!

leave your car at auto eas mode ... it's better than manuel mode if you want to save the system

no no! manual is better, saves the system from up/down all the time unless i want it to! and motorway mode is great for twisty lanes and roads of that nature!
the difference is quite amazing when combined with my 60mm wider track and Koni's!

Redrange,

You can also select the other heights with the manual button pressed. Selecting access while the inhibit button is pressed allows the rangie to drive under height restrictions in car parks and such once you don't cross , I think, 10 mph. You can keep the extended height selected once you don't cross, again I think, 35mph. Check out the owners manual.
This feature is a recommended temporary fix when you have a worn compressor or one of those airbag leaks that only shows up at certain heights. By manually selecting the motorway or standard height saves the compressor a lot of unnecessary work until you fix it.

I have just registered on here have just bought myself a P38 4.6 HSE but didnt receive an owners manual, and am currently trying to source one. I have played with the system but not sure how to set it at my desired ride height selection.

Can anyone give me a quick idiots guide to doing this, bearing in mind I have no manual yet so dont know what each button is called. Will having the overfinch suspension upgrade make any difference to this?

Thanks
Barry
