hello all,in trouble again !! driving home up laneway this evening when eas lights all came on at the same time and flashed a few times then all stayed on.message on dash says EAS FAULT.suspension has risen to highest point and locked, with no adjustment. has anybody any ideas where i start with this?

Hi,
I had similar problem with my EAS, it stayed on mid button and flashed with the same fault reading on dash. Went to local Land Rover dealer they plugged it into computer and updated software onto ECU......problem solved, but £60 for privilege.
Hope that helps?

hope that i do not have to go to main stealer as nearest one is 2 hour drive from here.would it be ok to drive that far with suspension in raised position?

you need to make or buy an eas cable and download software from here Range Rover P38a - EAS Unlock Suite

theres a wiring diagram here Range Rover P38a - EAS Cable or in the software suite

and cables can be found here eas cable, Vehicle Parts Accessories items at low prices on eBay.co.uk
gav, once again many thanks for fast response.re driving, would i be able to use the old girl for a few days or safer to just park her up.will get cable and software sorted tomorrow.

could be many things from a mechanical fault to the system just bieng confused and panicking.

once you get the cable sorted, read the faults write em down and then reset the faults, mebbe worth taking your laptop with you for the first few days after reset just so you got it if the fault reccurs.

i keep one of my lappys in the car all the time, especially on long journeys!!

you can also get a cable for the diagnostics, you only get basic engine stuff but at around 30 quid its well worth having just in case!

Why all the paranoia over EAS??
At least you can keep mobile until the cause is sorted, which is more than you can with other systems.
Get it checked out when you get the opportunity..frustrating but not the end of the world

oh errrr

be careful at speed tho, 4x4's tend to fall over at speed if theres any sudden movement, locked in high it wont feel all that stable
not much chance of speeding with the roads in this part of the world.even if the roads were good ,i would be terrified as when the boss is sitting beside me she has a tendancy to poke me in the ear with a sharp stick if i exceed the walking pace of a duck with piles:D:D
