Hi all, I have a EAS fault code C1A26 that appears and disappears of its own accord. There are no leaks and it doesn’t sag or settle overnight etc. Using my diag tool I can see the code reads Temperature Sensor Circuit. The car at rest overnight the motor temp says 22deg the compressor temp 199deg! Even though it’s all cool to the touch. The previous owner had a new air reservoir and compressor fitted. It’s an Hitachi type and new relay. It’s still in warranty and the seller is providing a new compressor. Should I be checking anything else before fitting the new unit? Should I ask them for an AMK unit and not Hitachi.
Thanks. Bob

Thanks. Further diagnostic searching shows the temp sensor has 0.45v-0.65v current when ignition off. The motor has 5v? I think, overall, it’s a faulty compressor! I’ll fit the new one and see what happens? I’m still debating whether to ask for an AMK unit rather than another Hitachi one!!
Thanks for swift the reply. Bob

I had a very similar code (on L322) it was a knackered compressor. faulting on over temp but then would cool and work a little.
As you have a "new compressor" but they have also worked on the reservoir then possibly need to check for leaks on that side of the circuit first.
But it should manage to pump up from empty without going high temp, so possibly the wiring.

If you change to an AMK you will need to do a software update, dont know what code reader you have but am guessing as that doesnt look like a full code you wont be able to do it so would need to go to LR:).
