I have, as you will be well aware, been having issues with my EAS. I fitted a new compressor but needed the fault codes resetting. I did ask if anyone local would be able to do it.

ovalandover volunteered to come 50 miles from Arundel to Bexhill and deal with it.

I was embarrassed about him coming that far but he made the trip.

He reset the codes and within seconds the car was back up to height, I am forever in his debt.

Interestingly, it turned out how much we had in common regarding where we live in Australia when we are there so we had a lengthy conversation about 'home'.
How could you put odds on that, knowing where each other are over there!!

Thank you ovalandrover, much appreciated

Ooops, omitted to mention the help and suggestions from everyone else as well. Datatek for advice and the code reader that he is sending me, Kurt Johnson for the compressor and wammers for his advice.

Really appreciate the help to this newbie. I have learnt so much from all of you.

Brilliant result. Once you have the cable from Datatek have a play and get it working ready for next time. I've never used it as I have a Nanocom but I believe the USB converter can be a pain. Saint.v8 did a youtube video of how to set it up IIRC.

You need to find out why the compressor failed or the new one will go the same way. If the airsprings are original they will be leaking.

It is my belief that it failed through nothing more than old age and being tired, It was working but very weak. It was overhauled about 6/7 years ago and just had enough.

I am monitoring for leaks and will do leak tests when I get enough time. It lost no height overnight last night over about 14 hours

Ovalandrover has a Nanocom that he was fortunate enough to get from a chap that no longer has a vehicle it could be used on. Once I have Datatek's cable and programme I shall 'play with it' to learn it's use. My lap top is quite elderly and it does have the proper socket, I believe, so that I won't need the USB lead. Will know once I get the set up.

1 have refurbed your old pump with a new cylinder and piston seal it was just a bit weak and mild scoring on the bore.
i got my nanacom from a guy who had it set up for the defender so i have codes for the defender but i had to buy codes for the P38 and also my TDv6 discovery 3 that i have in australia also had to buy the leads for the other 2 as well . I am based on the south coast for another month before i go back to Australia soif anyone needs codes read for the above vehicles I can travel shot distances or read them here

There's loads of help on here and then there's the geniuses that know these cars inside out and no dought you will as I do need there help again because as u do one job the next one is just around the corner or jumping out at u even before you've finished the current problem

Send me your credit card number and the 3 off the back,;):D:D
Wouldn't do you any good! 20 odd years ago we paid off all our debts and cut up our cards. Not got any money but we don't owe anybody anything. What we have is ours and nobody can touch it.

Asset rich, cash poor, I think they call it. We bounce along OK, still manage to get to Australia to visit family and home

That's good, pleased for you. Really thankful for what you did for me. I check the ride height when I park up at night and again first thing in the morning and so far, less than a centimetre variance.

And that'll be cooler temperature overnight making air contract
