Hey All,

I'm a new Discovery owner and love the vehicle more each day but I have a couple of question -

My Disco has a 2" lift kit fitted minus camber radius arms but the anti-roll bar has been removed. The car tends to oversteer and the handling is ponderous to say the least so I reckon the an anti-roll bar needs to go back. Why would anyone remove it in the first place?

The Disco has modular wheel fitted but I'd like to fit so regular alloys with a road going tyre, can I fit these directly onto the hubs?

Cheers
Rob

Normal alloys will fit straight on. You might want to put on standard height springs too if you are not going offroading, and heavy duty ones at that so it handles a bit better.

how do you manage to oversteer a disco without rolling it lol
i removed my ARB handles fine without caster correction
alloys fit straight on, but you will need different wheel nuts than the modular ones

From what I've been told they can make the ride a tad harsh if car is not laden, police spec. spring's seem to be an easier option if only driving on tarmac.

The reason i posted the comment regarding handling was because i get the feeling the OP mentioned cornering (oversteer) and "handling". They also stated it was their first disco (new discovery owner). I am not a land rover genius but in my opinion a discovery with heavy duty standard springs will behave more like a normal car than a discovery with normal springs, ans certainly more so than a discovery with a lift kit on it. The reason i say this is that the infamous body roll will be reduced with heavy duty springs, and it will be increased with increased ride height. Each to their own.

If your after a set of discovery ES freestyle alloys with road tyres on and a set of wheel nuts and locking wheel nuts let me know, i'm putting modulars on mine this weekend all being well so my ES freestyle wheels with 235/70/16 Pirelli Scorpions with about 5mm tread left, maybe more on a couple and a brand new Michelin tyre on the spare will be being sold to a sensible offer. PM me if interested

no idea what i'm looking at getting for them yet for a complete set including locking wheel nuts and normal alloy nuts so make a sensible offer
