After recovering from my little hissy fit...
I thoroughly agree with your points an will be putting my money else where.
Have fitted said boost gauge though an its showing good response and boost levels, which I'm happy with. Will still be cleaning out the intrcooler an replacing hoses me thinks though.
Good stuff. Cheers y'all

You want extra power then run it on Black diesel made with Acetone -
Black Diesel has a much higher calorific value than Diesel, so you can expect much greater MPG, sometimes up to 30% depending on the vehicle. WMO burns at greater temperatures than Diesel and when used with Redex, this ensures a cleaner burn. The use of Acetone also helps to suspend any water or condensation that might be in the oil, and carry it through the engine without it causing harm, Acetone will also help to increase the cetane (equivalent to octane in petrol) rating of the fuel ie: less fuel for the same poke - put you hammer down and the thing shifts!!

But remember - PAY your fuel duty or you'll lose your car if you get caught!!!

As for all the other stuff you're on about - waste of time money and effort!!!

And my last bit of advice – listen to the bigger boys (Wammers and Datatek) they have forgotten more then you know!!

and save some pennies for a gearbox hahahaha

after giving up making bio diesel due to the cost of veg oil have been looking into black diesel do you make it yourself?

Veg oil is only £18 for 20 litres?? how can that be to expensive?? Dino Diesel would cost £28.40 for 20 litres?

mix that with free stuff from local chippy and add cheap stuff from eBay?? and you've saved a hell of a lot??

talk about wanting something for nothing!!

And if you're so bothered about what you can screw out of your engine power wise I'm shocked you don't make your own fuel anyway - for consistency and better performance

If you're good at making fuel you can make fuel that will give you more poke!

I have various set ups for making fuel, my favorite is my ethanol still, as this saves me having to buy Petrol to thin down my home fuels

Virgin have been running aircraft on a mix of bio, regular and Jet2 for years - where I learnt how to mix

Are you sure about that, bet the CAA don't know they are not using Avtur? :D

easy tiger! my dse is standard apart from a chip have no interest in blowing it up.
the reason i gave up and if you made bio you would know that
a chippys use palm oil which is useless unless the temp is above 10 degrees else it goes solid
and b 99 percent of restaurants pubs etc are contracted to return the waste oil to the supplier like a and b oils.
so the price of used oil has gone up so much and the difficulty in sourcing enough oil and having to travel to collect makes it too time consuming and expensive when i can buy bio for 80p a litre good quality good enough to run a common rail engine.
it is purely out of interest so a sensible answer would have been enough it has nothing to do with wanting something for nothing. more to do with time as with 2 jobs a young family a restoration project and a range rover i have enough to do!

Jet 2 is the turbine Lubricant usually filled using a Risbridger gun...

I think you mean Jet A1 (which is Avtur)

Think some tests have been done with bio jet fuel, but it is by no means legal to use in commercial aircraft as far as i know. All Avtur is batch tested and issued with airworthiness certification before it can be used. The batch number is recorded in the aircraft log after each fill up as far as i know.

Very true Tony - Virgin have used a bio-fuel additive under licence from the CAA for a test flight....

And also they aim to bring it into commercial use within 3 years if the CAA give the go ahead...

What utter rubbish!! Aww lets all feel sorry for the busy man?? Err no! you only get what you put in!

We have 2 children (8 & 12) work 40 miles away usually working more than 40 hours a week then add on travel? My OH works 25 miles from home, we have livestock that need seeing to everyday, have an allotment again needs constant attention, and I collect all the materials for Bio and make all my own fuel, even the electricity generated comes from a homemade solar set up! I'm sorry you don't have time for what?

and yet I'm still able to find enough time enjoy all the things in life I love? like kitesurfing, shooting, classic cars and drinking hahaha

Bio Fuels made with Palm oil need petrol to prevent them solidifying - nothing stopping you using it - I do!

I use black diesel mixed with red to run my heating and hot water system in my home. I run 2 cars on Bio diesel.

i need no sympathy iam quite happy thank you perhaps the oil where you are is easier to get hold of but around me things are sewn up tighter than a worms chuff!
and as i said i can buy bio for 80p a litre so i have no need to make it anymore i was purely curious on how to make black diesel and even more curious now as using it to run home heating as heating oil has gone up so much in the last few years!
it was purely curiousity with no need for a bad attitude! purely a subject iam interested in.

Take used oil - ensure it's well mixed as will be made of ATF, Engine oil, Petrol, Diesel, Gearbox oils and water and antifreeze

Work out how much you have in litres and pay your fuel duty!!!

Filter it, Filter it, Filter it, filter it more! Remove Water, run through centrifuge (3 passes) mix with whatever you find easiest or cheapest to thin it - use it!

method 2 .....

(I'm currently building this)

pour waste oil into a still - heat (can use some of the previously made fuel to run this thats around 2 litres per hour of heat)

catch refined diesel - vent fumes (flamable)
