Hi
Leaking pollen filter cover means with all this rain, there's a significant amount of water under the carpet/lining under the drivers side carpet.
The carpet doesn't come out easily and I'm guessing wouldn't go back easily either!
Are there any tricks? The water can't stay there with all the electrics nearby!
Anyone tried a dehumidifier? If i lifted the carpet a bit, do you think it would work? Anything else worth a shot?
Cheers

Right, dehum it is then!!
I've got loads of double-sided sticky foam which i thought might be a good try! If it sticks both ways, might help keep it water tight

Copious quantities of highly absorbent paper towel, followed by careful use of a hot air device combined with adequate ventilation during the process.
Or set fire to it, that'll dry it out nicely

Wet and dry vac, worked for me :)
Now nicely fixed and has been leak free for well over a year. Most of my leak was caused by the screw fittings on the air intake plenum, took a long time to find but ‘‘twas well worth the fix!

You sure it is the pollen filter though? That’s what I thought for a long time, I sealed everything in sight and still got a soaking until I replaced the stupid plastic screw inserts. I bought new ones and binned the naff foam seals and made rubber ones. Problem fixed!

When i took the pollen filter out, water literally poured off it!
There could be other leaks too though.. which plastic screw inserts do you mean?

They are the ones for the screws holding the main air intake plenum below the windscreen, small square black plastic things with bloody useless foam seals!

The nice(?) stealer dealer who dried mine out used £50 worth of my petrol running the engine with the heaters on full bore. Then he returned it having properly plumbed the windscreen in after the deluge had filled the footwell. Not leaked since.

Righto I'll check those too, cheers
The one above the pollen filter does leak straight into the filter, I’ll lay odds that it is that, although the seal on the pollen filter is rubbish, the unit is raised slightly above the body so you need a fair amount of h2o to get to it. That as I mentioned was my suspect for ages, I stripped both pollen filter casings out and reseated/sealed everything but still had Niagara Falls. Then came across the fittings, so easy to fix and I felt like a right numpty to find such a simple thing.
