Been out on a training exercise tonight in Rugeley and bumped into one
of your colleagues on his rounds. You should have seen the cars slow
down when they saw 4 or 5 people standing on the pavement in hi-viz
jackets.

:) Yeahs... If i've been using plain motors for ages then suddenly jump in
a marked one it takes a while to work out why everyone has turned into
granny smith ;-) In fact it's often a dammed nusiance if your trying to get
to an urgent job which is not quite sufficient to justify the auxillaries
but not one you want to drag your feet to either.

Of course I've never ever stood in the darkness holding a broom from the
boot with a mini mag lite attached to it, to see the look on faces of
passing motorists..... now that _really_ slows them down and makes them get
in lane.... apparently...I've heard.... ahem. :) Several hours of armwaving
Boredom at RTC scenes can drive a person around the bend.
