since you guys have given me such good advice so far, lets see how u go with this problem. lol
i have asked this question before a couple of months back but havent actually got round to fixing the problem. my drop down tailgate on my P38 wont open. took the carpet cover off to access the solinoid and found that the rod going into the passenger side lock has come out of the lock itself. i have struggled and struggled, but cannot get the dam thing in to unlock it. drivers side is fine, i just cant get my hand up the gap far enough to get the rod back in.
how does it go in. is there a special way to put the rods in or wot. is it possible to unlock it without using the rods.
really would be good to get this fixed cos loading my engine jack in and out of the back seat is a right git of a job.
