Hi all

Quick Q to get the right bit

Problem - Drivers window - goes down ok but when coming up it slips and goes at an angle therefore causing the anti-trap to kick in and bring it back down again.

Is it the regulator bit that's the likely cause?

Cheers

My window used to come up at an angle, turned out to be a broken regulator bracket. One corner where it is pop riveted had broke away from the rest of the bracket. The regulator bracket is thin and I would assume it flex's a lot until it breaks one day. With this in mind I couldn't see the point in buying another thin one which will do the same. I took mine out and welded it back together, works fine now.

Regards Clive

Thanks for the advice - I'll stop being lazy and get the door card off and have a look :)

Success (and my first fix)

Took the door card of to find the regulator assembly had popped a rivet, drilled it out and refixed using nut, washers and bolt and hey presto one working window - one small step for the Rangie, one giant leep for me (I'm not mechanically minded)

Now onto the EAS diagnostics with Dougie - fingers crossed :)
