hi, can anyone tell how to remove the inner panel of the door to access the winding gear, i know some panels pop off ie diffender, are these the same, any tips on best way to remove, any help is well appreciatted :boink:

front or back?

what a dick, it says it in the title!!!

right, from the top, where the tweeter is there is a screw under there. the tweeter just pops off if you twist it slighlty you can get it without any tools.

the door opener surround has a screw in it and needs to be shuffled around the handle.

the pull handle/armrest has two screws underneath it and then finally pop the rest of the door card off. the little clips are very delicate so take extra care when removing these, they are cheap on ebay so don't worry too much if you damage em. try not to damage the card when removing the clips as the come away from the card and tear the seating area of the retainer.

now there is a liner on the door to stop drafts, try to keep this in tact as it get very drafty without it

HTH

ps why are you removing em?

the window when raised is making a rather loud thumpin noise( as in gearing slipping), iv read some where that the rails that the winding mech run on are or wahere riveted together and perhaps have come loose and require bolting back- better option, still havent attempted to remove the panel as yet as time with work is tight, but will take onboard you advise and method thanks. :tea:
