Drivers door lock

O K guys done quick search but cant find any thread!
Problem: ('93 200TDi) dont have c l fob so always use key to lock/unlock using O/S/F door - t'other day key action went very soggy when locking and failed to lock.
removed door card to have looksee and the grey plastic around the key barrel has a radial crack at the base and when turning key this crack just opens up, not allowing activation of the microswitch.
anybody know where to get a barrel assembly(cheap!)?
or, do any of the other models/makes have the same barrel assembly as Disco 1
Tried supaglue - not strong enuff!

Hi, You could try EQUICAR 4 x 4 in Wolverhampton they have everything used but good. Worth a try they are excellent and not far from you. I have used them before. You will find them on the net or better still give them a phone on monday... I bet you they will have your part.

I have had the same problem twice. Generally I end up buying a handle assembly (it's part of the handle according to LR). Make sure you get the right one as the 200's have a different mechanism.

download rave or steal a copy of microcat very useful tool to have on yer pc just might save ya a few quid too !!!
