Disco 2 Drivers door latch

Hi guys just attempted to replace my drivers door latch with a second had but supposed tested item, anyway fitted it, but this is how it behaves..
door shut won’t lock on fob all other
locks work fine, sit in the car, press the lock button on dash and door lock locks, but won’t unlock on button but does when you pull the handle twice, also if you have the door open and try and press the marker down that pokes through near window it won’t move but all other doors can be pressed down. This is behaving just like the one I had so could it be a fault elsewhere or just coincidence that this “tested” lock has the same issue as my original one? Any help is welcome thanks. Rich.

Check the wiring where it passes between the body and door cos it used to get chafed there

Thank you. Checked the wiring inside the rubber flexi conduit and a pink and white was broke, repaired it and now seems to be working fine again. As a spark by trade I don’t know how I managed to miss / forget about wiring through door.
