Having looked at Buster's excellent photo tours of how to change the above I just have a couple of questions.

1) If the splines on my drive flange have gone, should I replace the driveshaft as well? Even if I'm going to fit a heavy duty drive flange? I know it would be better to, but this is a purely financially motivated question as I am on a tight budget.

2) Do I need to remove the wheel? I know Buster does but the flange will come through the centre of my wheels and my drive is not ideally suited for jacking up the car easily (slope and gravel)

INFO - 1984 '90' county, drivers rear flange.

Thanks, Daz

Ye probably won't need to change the drive shaft. Try yer new one on it first to see... and Ah've changed the flanges before without takin' the wheel off.
Hope that helps;):D
