Drive problem

110 2007 2.4 tdi Puma. Symptoms :No drive in normal high/low Transfer box position. Normal operation in 4wd setting. Fault occurred whilst slow manoeuvring at a junction.
Any diagnosis ideas welcome

I guess the first place to start would be leave it in 4wd (locked center diff) and jack each wheel in turn and see if you can turn it.
If you find 1 that will turn then chancers are a broken drive shaft. I would guess start with the front just because of what you were doing at the time (its only a hunch)
Easiest first checks IMO.

Thank you for your advice. You were indeed correct! The pin had dropped out of the front diff munching the internals. swapped it out with an exchange unit from Ashcrofts and all running find now, with the exception of the ABS and TC warning now on. Any ideas welcome!
