Drive flange issue

Hi Guys me again, the drive flanges have given up the ghost on the rear axle this time, drove it about 15km in diff lock and found somewhere to pitch up for a few days. Have decided to weld the flanges to the half shafts as can't source the parts here and seeing as the UK has ground to a halt due to a bit of snow can't order from there either.

Does anyone know of any reason why I shouldn't weld them?

My fender has one piece half shafts / drive flanges on the rear, so I don't see why not.

No but I spend 3 to 4 months each year working there and in various other African countries. I'd love to retire out there but my old lady is none too keen. She wants to move back to Jamaica.

Theres worse places than Jamaica
