Dreaded Window Regulator

Driver side rear door has gone - despite being new only 18 months ago.

I've taken it out and stripped it - barr a slight kink in the cable, everything looks intact - looks like the cable has just slipped off the wheel and got tangled.

Does anyone think it should go back ok? - time caught up with me last night.

hi,
in theory yes,
but you have to be careful re-winding the cable back onto it..
id try to straighten out the kink as much as possible first, i.e in a vice or simply hammer & roll it on some concrete etc..

mines done the same & was such a nightmare i gave up & bought a new 1 & re-fitted it,
but hopefully you'll have more luck than me at it m8..



failing that a 2nd hand 1 from fleabay im afraid

I think the kink may cause a problem, probably best to fit a new cable
