Sounds like you should be fine! Check lights work, none faded, no splits in tyres - think you should go straight through!
Not alot to test on S2!!

spring an shocker bushes, wheel bearings, washers an wipers, emissions depending on age.
basically look for everything you need for an mot.
watch what the tester tests, how he does it, talk to him, and learn for next year.

Sorry to jump in here, if its classed as an historic vehicle, does it mean its free from the emissions test on MOT?

The MOT shouldn't be dreaded. If you can't make a simple inspection and rectify some basic faults such as the MOT test requires maybe old Land Rovers aren't the right vehicle for you. Congrats on passing btw.

Hi, If you have fitted new lights as in ones you have bought then check that they are the right hand drive ones, I replaced one on mine coz it was balck and shot, so bought a new unit and never gave it a thought, only when it went in for a test and faild i realised it was a lhd one so it threw up the wrong pattern.

An MOT station has passed your landy,but may give you a advisory sheet with items that have passed but will soon need attention [eg shock mount pin on axle worn thin] keep the sheet and get them sorted.At next MOT show him you have done them.It all helps show him you care for your landy as best you can,

Fair point. Just put some new uns in me 109 though and they're actually quite good. Halogen bulbs are fantastic compared to sealed beams. Still gonna stick a few spots on as well though.
