Well here's Dorothy, 1st disco on the Members Vehicles , she's not the best around but she's mine

How I bought her, FSH, 1 Owner from new in 2011



and how she stands now

I'd love a set of those front light guards. Anywhere in particular to get them? I've seen the odd set on eBay from time to time but they seem to get expensive.

ebays probably your best bet, i was lucky i found somebody local that didnt want his so i got them for £10, just needed brckets making which was easy enough

I read in Mr. Noisy's thread you were thinking to fit a 200 dash in yr 300? It can be made to fit but the bracketry is completely different as the 200 has spot welded brackets as past of the shell and the 300 has bolt in frames, the steering column is very differnt and bolts onto the spot welded in frame panels.

I found the 300Tdi heating better than a 200Tdi, 200 is better if it is a V8

thanks for that, iv now decided against a dash swap, but will be tweeking mine abit, got to take it out soon to swap heater motors over

Did you buy a new one from a supplier or a S/H one to replace it with? If it was a new one then beware of the size of the motor body, it is an interference fit in the housing and the new replacement ones are 2mm too small, just you don't find that out until you have dismembered it enough to get the motor in to the housing!!! measure with calipers first if new, if S/H then try a bearing retailer to replace the bushing in the ends with small bearings, they will last a heck of a lot longer and easy to do while itis out on the bench, that is also the advice I'd give for the brand new ones that are bushed, fit bearings for longevity

cheers, looks abit different at mo, side windows have been boarded up, doors are red as iv swapped them, roof windows welded up so looks tatty at the minute, she will get there again lol

By any chance, you got any more pics of that rear bumper/winch mounting set up?

i dont at present, but will try and sort some out for you
